In Your Hands

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) claims over 350,000 lives annually, with a staggering 90% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) victims not surviving. Survival rates decline by 10% for every minute CPR and AED use are delayed, and brain death can occur within just 4 minutes. This highlights the urgent need for community awareness and preparedness, especially since 70% of cardiac arrests happen at home.

Immediate CPR can triple the chances of survival, yet only 1 in 4 victims receive bystander assistance. You can change this by learning CPR.

We encourage you to watch the 10-minute instructional video below. Gather your friends, family, and coworkers to ensure everyone knows how to respond effectively. Manikins and AED trainers are available for use or rental at the McCall Public Library. Equip yourself with this vital knowledge and help us create a safer community. Together, we can save lives.
